Why Your Injector Should Sometimes Tell You No

The industry of injectables, fillers, and skincare treatments tends to be fast-paced and profit-focused, but at Coco Med Spa, we’re proud to be an outlier. When others say more, we look more closely. If more isn’t best, we say no instead. Today, we’ll look more deeply into why we sometimes tell customers no and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

What’s best for our clients is best for Coco Med Spa in the long term. We focus on providing the right treatments rather than the most treatments because safety, results, and our customer relationships matter. We ask direct and informative questions to better understand the full picture of our client’s skincare history, needs, and desires. Based on those answers and our evaluation, we can better understand what treatments will provide results and be maintainable.

Building long-term trust

When a client trusts us, we take full responsibility for their results. We build this trust through in-depth consultation, honest recommendations, and sometimes saying no to treatments. For us, a treatment isn’t something we do just because someone comes in and asks for it. Our thorough review process allows us to match the perfect treatment option to the results you’re looking for. 

Saying no when it matters

One thing we’re proud of is that we aren’t afraid to say, “No, that’s not for you.” For example, if someone comes in requesting Botox, not realizing that a different treatment will actually give them the result they want, we’re going to say no to the Botox. Or, if a client comes in looking for laser resurfacing treatments but doesn’t use sunscreen regularly, we will decline the service until a home care routine is established that will support the goals and aftercare for the treatment. In some cases, the treatment needs to be swapped out for a different one; in other cases, it’s simply not the best option to treat. In either case, we believe that saying no is a sign of care and expertise.
