We’re so excited to be bringing PRX Derm Perfexion to Coco Med Spa in St. Pete! This new and exciting facial treatment is growing in popularity for its fast delivery of a radiant, youthful glow without the downtime of rival treatments like chemical peels. Today, we’ll break down exactly what PRX Derm Perfexion is, who it’s for, and how it compares to other treatments that produce similar results. Who knows, you might just find yourself a new favorite treatment. Let's get right to it!

What Is PRX Derm Perfexion?

PRX Derm Perfexion is a non-abrasive topical biostimulator that brings out your best glow by offering powerful skin rejuvenation with no peeling and no downtime. The service is acclaimed for its needle-free bio-revitalization ability, which works at the cellular level to rejuvenate the skin with no invasive needles and no surface damage. PRX Derm Perfexion stimulates collagen at the dermal level without disrupting the surface of the skin, the way a skincare service like a chemical peel or laser treatment would. It uses a combination of TCA, hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid to immediately rejuvenate skin and give an undeniable glow. TCA stands for trichloroacetic acid. This commonly used ingredient, when combined with ingredients like hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid, is able to penetrate deep into the dermal layers of the skin to stimulate skin renewal from within, leading to better skin texture, brightening, boosted hydration, and improved elasticity in just one session.

A session usually lasts about 30 minutes, and though you may feel a gentle warming sensation, there will be no redness, tingling, or discomfort after your treatment. It’s common to notice immediate results, but you may need between 3-5 treatments for the best long-lasting benefits. We’re so excited for PRX Derm Perfexion to become a standout service here at Coco Med Spa.

Is PRX Derm Perfexion Right for You?

PRX Derm Perfexion treats a variety of skin concerns, including:

  • Fine lines

  • Elasticity

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Melasma

  • Skin dullness

  • Texture

  • Acne scarring

It’s also good for all skin types and multiple age ranges. We’re happy to offer PRX Derm Perfexion in St. Pete because it’s a treatment that can be done year-round with no downtime needed. Although regular SPF should be used after any treatment, this is a sun-safe treatment that is great for our large population of outdoor and beach enthusiasts. Adding PRX Derm Perfexion to your current treatment regimen may be beneficial if you’re an active person who values having no recovery time without sacrificing results. This topical biostimulator is a great choice for ongoing skin improvement and can be used in between other treatments if needed to boost or continue results in a way that is tailored to your unique needs.

PRX Derm Perfexion vs. Chemical Peels

PRX Derm Perfexion is sometimes referred to as the “no peel chemical peel” because it offers many similar results as some of the great chemical peels that we offer, without any peeling or downtime. It is important to make the distinction that this is not, in fact, a chemical peel, but it does offer results that lovers of traditional chemical peels will love. PRX Derm Perfexion uses some of the same ingredients, like TCA, as a few of our popular chemical peels. However, it doesn’t disrupt the surface of the skin or cause any peeling or redness like chemical peels tend to do. This service is a great option for someone with multiple skin concerns, as it can address multiple symptoms at the same time.

At Coco Med Spa, it’s important that we tailor all treatments to each individual person that we treat, which means that we’ll always discuss how to best implement new treatments into your current plan if a new service is right for you. If you’re interested in learning more about whether or not PRX Derm Perfexion at Coco Med Spa in St. Pete is right for you, we’d love to talk to you about it!
