Vampire Facial St. Pete

Scary season isn’t the only time for vampires! Or at least not for a Vampire Facial. This beloved treatment has remained popular over the years for its skin-rejuvenating results. Today, we’ll discuss the details of the service, the ideal candidate, and what to expect.

What Is a Vampire Facial and How Does It Work at Coco Med Spa?

A vampire facial is a skin enhancing treatment that recruits the rejuvenating properties of growth factors drawn from the client’s own blood sample. At Coco Med Spa, we use a system called Selphyl® to prepare the sample. Once your blood sample is drawn, it goes into a centrifuge that spins until your plasma separates from your blood cells. This plasma is “platelet-rich” and full of growth factors that help initiate collagen induction in the skin. This means the skin will create new collagen bonds as it heals, resulting in smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

Once the platelet-rich plasma is separated from the sample, we apply it topically during microneedling. Microneedling creates microchannels in the skin, which stimulate collagen production and allow the topical plasma to penetrate deeper for better support of the healing and rejuvenation process.

Who Is a Good Candidate for a Vampire Facial?

This facial treatment is an appealing option for a variety of skin goals, and the best candidates are those whose concerns and expectations are aligned with what collagen-focused rejuvenation can realistically address. We spoke with our esthetician, Alyssa, to get her thoughts:

Q: What skin concerns respond best to the vampire facials at Coco Med Spa, and how many sessions do you typically recommend to see results?

A: We generally have the most success with clients with concerns of aging (fine lines/wrinkles), pore size, and acne scarring. A vampire facial is also a great option for clients who feel like they simply need an overall skin reset. Typically we recommend a series of 3 for the best results. However, client needs vary, and some clients may require more treatments to get the results they want.

What Affects How Many Sessions Will You Need?

Your number depends on what you're treating, how closely you follow before and after care, and how your skin responds to healing. Deeper acne scarring or more pronounced signs of aging often take more sessions. Your personalized consultation with our team will give you a better understanding of your individual needs and projected treatment plan. As we get to know your skin better and see how it responds to treatments, we’ll remain communicative throughout the process and let you know if expectations change or if you may need additional treatments or a different service to achieve the results that you’re looking for. Our priority is always safety and effectiveness!

What Makes Coco Med Spa’s Vampire Facial Different?

We asked Alyssa to share her thoughts on what makes a Vampire Facial at Coco Med Spa stand out:

Q: What is Coco Med Spa’s specific protocol that sets your version apart from other med spas offering this?

A: Clients can also choose exosomes alongside PRP. Every client's treatment depth is different depending on their anatomy. No treatment is one-size-fits-all at Coco, and that’s where we stand out. Some clients think “more depth” = better treatment or results, and this is not the case. It is very important that we change the depth of treatment throughout the face while microneedling, depending on skin type and the specific concern, to prevent hyperpigmentation and avoid causing more injury/trauma than necessary. Pairing with PRP or exosomes can further support healing, collagen production, and overall rejuvenation.

As with all services at Coco Med Spa, our focus is tailoring your treatment plan to you. If we think a different service is better suited to your needs based on the results you want, we’ll tell you. If we think that a Vampire Facial is an important treatment among a larger treatment plan that you should consider, we’ll tell you that too. Your progress is always a collaboration between the services and education we provide and the care routines you stick to at home before and after treatment.

If you’re looking to address fine lines, visible pores, acne scarring, texture concerns, or a complexion that simply feels ready for renewal, the Vampire Facial may be right for you! Adding growth factors from your own body is an effective and powerful tool for rejuvenation. If you have more questions or are ready to schedule a Vampire Facial with us in St. Pete, feel free to contact us. We look forward to meeting you!
