How to Stay Consistent With Your Home and Spa Treatments

Updated: Jun 7, 2022

We’ve all heard the phrase, “consistency is key.” It’s such a common phrase because its truth is applicable in a tremendous amount of situations. When it comes to maintaining the health of your skin, this phrase is absolutely no exception.

As much as we love seeing your beautiful faces at Coco Med Spa, we would be remiss not to regularly remind you of the importance of regular at home maintenance, in conjunction with your regular treatments with us. To keep things simple, we’ve compiled a timeline of maintenance to help you make sure you’re giving yourself and your skin the best that it deserves.

Daily

Your skin requires daily support in the form of daily cleansing, treatments, moisturizing, and spf. Sun damage is a huge culprit in derailing the results that you may hope for from your medical spa treatments. Sun damage speeds aging, causes a breakdown of collagen resulting in wrinkles, and can even cause or worsen hyperpigmentation. Medical grade skincare is best for maximum results, along with a high quality sunscreen.

Monthly

A monthly facial appointment is the best way to support both your daily efforts, as well as your in spa treatments that are more spread out. Facials, and treatments like microdermabrasion, provide deeper exfoliation and targeted treatments for your skin's specific needs that will keep your skin renewed, encourage cell turnover, and keep you glowing.

Every 3-6 Months

Neurotoxins should be touched up every 3 to 6 months to ensure that results are maintained and no new fine lines are given the opportunity to form. Injectables vary per person. Your injector will be able to give you a better idea of how often you’ll need to return for best results but 3-6 months is a good general recommendation.

Every 6 Months

It is important to check in with your injector about every 6 months to determine whether or not you need to touch up any fillers. Since they metabolize differently for everyone, you may find that you need to touch up more or less frequently but again, 6 months is a great general recommendation.

We are always happy to help you create a more personalized plan for your regimen in between visits. Please know that we want you to get the absolute best benefits of your treatments here at Coco Med Spa, and maintaining those results always starts by being consistent at home. Thank you for trusting us with your skin and we can’t wait to see you soon!
