How many treatments are needed?
Generally speaking, we recommend candidates start with a series of three treatments. With an initial treatment, your best results will be visible within about six months of your last treatment. For some, an additional round of three treatments may be needed for optimal results.
Who is hair restoration for/not for?
The best candidates for hair restoration are those with thinning hair or balding spots. The hair follicles here will respond to stimulation and you should see a return of hair growth over time. Hair restoration treatments are not appropriate for a receding hairline as they will not be effective on hair follicles once they are dead. Once a hair follicle has died, it cannot be restored.
Is hair restoration uncomfortable?
Hair restoration treatments are performed by injecting PRF into the affected areas through the scalp. This generally is not the most comfortable area for injections and discomfort is manageable but present. We do offer Pronox, also known as laughing gas, as an option during this treatment to make it as comfortable as possible. It is also a relatively quick treatment. Despite the mild discomfort, the results are well worth it.
