Discover Laser Resurfacing for Glowing Skin

If you’re looking to make big improvements to the tone and texture of your skin, a laser resurfacing treatment or similar treatments may be a great option for you to consider. Laser resurfacing is known to be an incredibly effective method for tackling multiple skin concerns at once with long-lasting results when combined with a regular at-home regimen. Stay tuned as we discuss one of our most popular laser resurfacing options here at Coco Med Spa in St. Pete as well as a few other options that yield similar results.

Laser Resurfacing with Moxi

Laser resurfacing is a skin renewing treatment performed with lasers for deep rejuvenation and correction of a variety of skin concerns. Moxi is known for its relatively low downtime, beautiful results, and compatibility with a wide variety of skin types and can be performed at any time. Laser resurfacing is great for:

  • Sun damage

  • Melasma

  • Broken Capillaries

  • Fine lines

  • Wrinkles

.If you’ve ever heard of special event treatments like Aquagold that result in a temporary “glass skin” look, you may have wondered if there’s anything that can provide similar results for a longer period of time. Laser skin resurfacing is generally the recommended way to achieve a similar look after a series of sessions tailored to your skin’s needs.

Results from Moxi may appear within as soon as 5-7 days after treatment and will improve over time. For the best results, expect to start with 3 treatments one month apart from each other. Additional sessions may or may not be needed as individual needs can vary. For maintenance, sessions are generally recommended about 1-2 times per year based on your skin’s needs.

Reduce Redness and Scarring with BBL Hero or Morpheus8

For those with slightly different skin needs, similar results to laser resurfacing can be achieved with BBL Hero or Morpheus8 as well! BBL Hero may help to improve skin with more redness or mild laxity, while Morpheus8 is a better option for individuals with texture concerns like acne scarring.

How to Pick and Prepare for Treatment

Regardless of which treatment you decide on, much of the preparation is the same. Be sure to avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks before treatment. This means no tanning, or spray tanning for at least two weeks before or after treatment. Be sure to avoid chemical peels and use the proper skincare pre and post-treatment. For laser resurfacing, we recommend using a skin tone corrector like SkinBetter Sciences Even Tone Correcting serum in the weeks leading up to treatment as well as indefinitely after treatment if pigment correction is your main concern. As with all laser treatments, diligent use of sunscreen daily is also a must.

When it comes to deciding which treatment is right for you, it’s best to consult with the experts. Our team at Coco Med Spa in St. Petersburg is happy to consult with you for laser resurfacing with Moxi or any other recommended treatments for your skin. To schedule, simply contact us!
