What is it?
An Eyelash Lift and Tint is a double process, semi permanent treatment that lifts the eyelashes into a curl and tints them a dark shade. The curl is specially chosen for each individual, based on lash length and eye shape, to be complementary and mimic the results of a lash curler. The lifted result makes the lashes appear much longer and sometimes fuller as the lashes are typically more separated and eye opening as well. Next, the lash is tinted to your desired shade of darkness. Typically a dark brown or black is chosen and it will be complimentary to both your eye color and complexion.
How does it work?
In layman’s terms, a lash lift is similar to perming your brows. However, it is MUCH gentler than a perm. They are similar in that the lash shape is molded with a curling rod and a solution that breaks down the proteins in the lash. This allows them to be reshaped. However, this step is immediately followed by a keratin-rich solution that conditions and strengthens the lash while helping it to hold its new, lifted and curled, shape. Next, the lashes are dyed to frame the eye as mascara typically would and give the illusion of fuller, thicker lashes.
How long does it last?
Everyone’s body is a bit different so everyone’s lash growth cycle varies a bit. However, results typically last about 6-8 weeks with proper care.
Is it safe?
The materials used to create the results of an Eyelash Lift and Tint have been tested as safe for the eyelashes.
