A snatched jawline is trending for a reason; people love the look of it! Luckily, at Coco Med Spa in St. Pete, we offer many treatment options that can help you achieve your best jawline. If you’re wondering which treatment is right for you, don’t worry! In this blog, we’ll break down some of our most popular techniques and their best uses to help you decide which one might be best for you to help you get a jawline you love.

Lift vs. Volume

When deciding on which jawline treatment is best, it helps to understand what your specific needs are and what each type of treatment can achieve. Sculptra is a biostimulator best known for stimulating new collagen production and adding or restoring volume and firmness over time. This is good for someone combating the signs of aging who doesn’t necessarily need immediate added volume. Radiesse also stimulates collagen growth in the long term, but it adds volume immediately upon injection. This helps to sculpt and shape immediately, while new collagen forms to eventually fill in and do that job in the future. Finally, neurotoxins like Botox can help to slim and define the jawline when injected into the masseter muscle. They can also help to prevent and reduce the appearance of jowling when injected into the platysma muscle for a tighter, more snatched appearance.

Who is a Candidate for Jawline Treatments?

When deciding whether or not the jawline is the area we should treat for the results you’re looking for, we’ll consider a number of factors such as skin elasticity, bone structure, volume loss, and any heaviness or jowling. We’ll compare these factors against your desired outcome to form a recommendation for which services best suit you. We’ll also consider things like lifestyle and maintenance when recommending services. Both Sculptra and Radiesse may be recommended for someone looking for lift and volume, and neurotoxins are best for addressing jaw concerns that are the result of overactive muscles. As far as maintenance, Sculptra can last up to two years, while Botox and other neurotoxins will need to be done every 3-6 months.

Personalizing the Jawline with Full-Face Balancing

A common issue with treatments that we see on social media is that everyone begins to look the same when experienced injectors aren’t personalizing treatments to your particular needs and goals. At Coco Med Spa, we take a full facial balancing approach with all of our injectable services. Since every jawline is unique, we include personalized assessments that include the chin, the angle of the jaw, and all the way back to the ear. We also consider other areas of the face to see if there are imbalances elsewhere that need correcting to enhance the overall face.

No matter which treatments are “trending”, Coco Med Spa will always put safe, customized treatments at the forefront of your experience. Our goal is to help you look like the best version of yourself, and we’ll always recommend the treatments that are best tailored to your desired outcome, even if it’s something different than what you thought you might need.
