Our Favorite Tips for Hydrated Summer Skin

Summer may still be a few weeks away but its temperatures are already here which means your summer skincare products and routine might be in need of a little upgrade. With the warmer weather comes the likelihood that you’ll be more exposed to sun and heat which is fine, as long as you’ve got a plan to keep your skin hydrated and healthy! Today we’ll share our favorite facial treatments and products for ultra-hydrated skin all summer long.

Hydrating Skin Treatments

We have a couple of go-to treatments that we love for this time of year or any time your skin needs a hydrating pick-me-up. The first, a Hydrodermabrasion treatment. This treatment is the perfect combination of hydration and deep exfoliation, revealing gorgeous, revitalized skin.

Our next favorite treatment to recommend is our Hydrating Facial. This service offers cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, plus plenty of hydration. For best results, both of these treatments should be scheduled regularly about 4-6 weeks apart while you maintain a regular at-home skincare routine as well.

Summer Approved Skincare

Although it should go without saying, we will never neglect to say it. Sunscreen is a daily must-have. Although it is daily no matter what time of year, applying and reapplying during prolonged sun exposure is the best way to protect your skin against, sun damage and sunburns which can also be very drying. Some of our favorite sunscreen products are:

  • Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 36

  • Alastin SilkSHIELD® All Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 with TriHex Technology®

Another hydrated summer skin must-have is a great moisturizer. Although it may be tempting, you should never forego your moisturizer even on the hottest days of summer. Instead, consider switching to a lightweight formula like Alastin Ultra Light Moisturizer which absorbs beautifully and adds lots of moisture to your skin.

Drink Your Skincare

We can’t close without reminding you that one of your best tools for hydrated skin is one that you can drink. That’s right, good old H2O. When we’re spending time in warm weather and sun, we lose water quickly and it can cause issues for our skin just like it does internally. Staying hydrated is key to helping your skin thrive so make sure to prioritize drinking your water daily.
